Manufacturing Transformation (MATRA) Thailand Expo 2022 for Industry 4.0 Already Kicks Off

Fireworks Co.,Ltd kicks off the Manufacturing Transformation (MATRA) Thailand Expo 2022, the exhibition on smart manufacturing technologies and solutions for industry 4.0, at Nong Nooch International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICE Pattaya), Chonburi province.  A large number of participants have overwhelmingly joined the event.

Mr. Kenny Yong, Managing Director of Fireworks Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd revealed that the MATRA Thailand 2022 exhibition is bringing together the intelligent manufacturing technologies and solutions for Industry 4.0 for the future of manufacturing automation industry. More than 100 leading brands from across the world such as Singapore, Germany, Japan, France, Taiwan, Malaysia are showcasing their technologies at the event which covers the space of over 3,000 square meters.

Activities during the 3-day event include meetings and conferences on “Transforming Manufacturing with Digitalization”, business matching and negotiations, demonstrations on Automation Inspection Camera System from the Center of Robotic Excellence, as well as virtual exhibitions of MATRA Thailand Virtual Expo 2022.

Interesting conference topics include the government’s Investment Promotion Policy in Automation & Industry 4.0, lectured by Mr.Siriwat Waiyanit , Vice President of Manufacturing Automation and Robotic Center : MARC) and a lecture on The Essential Pathway To Adoption Outreach: Using Industrial IoT and Data Analytics in Smart Factory by Dr. Kulchat Meesuplak, Head of Cyber-Physical Systems Research ( CPS) , National Electronics and Computer Technology Center ( NECTEC).

There is also a seminar on the topic of “Digital Transformation in Smart Food Industry 4.0” by Mr. Taweesak  Wannatipayaporn , Exhibition & Innovation Director of Thai Automation and Robotics Association (TARA); and “Lead Your Factory to Operational Excellence with Digital Visual Management System” by Mr.Gregory Birgé, Marketing Director Asia of iObeya Pte Ltd.

Dr. Petch Chinabutr , Deputy Secretary General, Investment and International Affairs, Eastern Economic Corridor, said that with a clear governance structure and policy formulation, the EEC development has been carefully planned. The EEC’s infrastructure projects have been fully developed to be an essential gateway to Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific regions in the next few years.

The EEC development plan consists of basic infrastructure development, digital infrastructure development, business and financial center development, targeted industries development, tourism development and promotion, as well as the development of personnel, education, research and technology.

“The Eastern Economic Corridor Special Development Zone (EEC) is an area development project with the main aim to further expand the Eastern Seaboard area which has been renowned for over three decades. The EEC project focuses on the development of three eastern provinces namely Rayong, Chonburi and Chachoengsao.” Dr. Petch said.

Ms. Kanokporn Damrongkul , Director – Exhibition Department, Thailand Conventions and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, said that TCEB is lending its support on MATRA Thailand 2022 Expo as it is the mission of TCEB to promote international trade shows in Thailand, especially the events that correspond to the government’s targeted industries development such as the transformation of industrial productions into a semi-automated one, all of which are being exhibited at the event. TCEB also focuses on promoting more new exhibitions or expanding the events to the EEC Special Development Zone, which is a new destination for investors from around the world.

“The MATRA Thailand 2022 Expo is a part of the “Road to Airshow” project. TCEB has promoted and supported trade shows and exhibitions of targeted industries in the EEC area with an aim to prepare personnel in the area to get ready for international trade fairs in the future, especially the Thailand International Airshow which is being planned for 2029. In addition, Pattaya City is the center of trade, investment and service businesses in the eastern region. It is also a MICE City which will bring economic and social expansion to the city continuously,” said Ms. Kanokporn.

MATRA Thailand 2022  is organized in conjunction with Electronics Manufacturing Expo (EMAX) Thailand 2022, which is an exhibition of electronic components manufacturing technologies that brings together international chip and semiconductor manufacturers and industrial equipment suppliers under one roof. The event will be held during 28 – 30 September 2022 at Nong Nooch International Convention and Exhibition Center ( NICE Pattaya), Chonburi province.
